The Practice has a long association with Aberdeen University and hosts medical students during the earlier years of their 5-year course. The focus is on how medicine is practiced in the community rather than in the hospital setting with which they are more familiar.
Tutorials are held on Tuesday mornings; the current tutor is Dr Paterson. On occasions she will approach patients to ask them to share their experiences of health and illness with the students.
Seven of the eight partners of the Practice are graduates of Aberdeen University. We hope that our involvement with teaching and our enthusiasm for what we do will encourage others to pursue general practice as a career. They are the doctors of the future and maybe some day one of them will be your GP!
