Routine Appointments – these can be arranged with the reception staff either by phone or in person. Our appointments are for 10 minutes. Should you require to discuss multiple problems please let the receptionist know so that a longer appointment can be made. Please remember to cancel any appointment which is no longer required or which you can no longer attend.
Urgent Appointments or House Visits – we want to ensure that you are seen at the right time by the right person. We have a doctor who will consider all requests for any urgent care including medical emergencies, urgent on the day appointments, house visits or anything you feel you urgently need to discuss by telephone that day. To allow the doctor to deal with these requests timeously and in order of clinical need please be prepared to give the receptionist as much information as possible. Please also be aware that by not giving information to the receptionist this may delay your call back from the doctor. Please also be aware that, when waiting for the doctor to phone back, our telephone number, if you have caller ID, comes up as a withheld number. Should you not answer your phone when the doctor phones you the doctor may be unable to phone again.
Telephone Consultations – these are available most days and can be booked in advance for routine issues which do not require a face to face consultation. e.g. requesting an extension to a sick line, discussing test results, etc. Please ensure you are available to answer your phone at allocated telephone consultation time.
Other sources of help – not all ailments require to be seen by doctor. Please remember that Pharmacists are able to help with minor ailments and Opticians have taken over the care of most eye problems locally.
